Well done to the ‘Sampler Quilt’ class participants! It was, admittedly, patchwork bootcamp but everyone rose magnificently to the challenge and produced stunning blocks – well done everyone! Just got to add the sashing ….. but here are some of the beautiful finished blocks:

This Saturday Naomi Crowely will have a wee indoor market in the shop selling hand made tweed bags and gifts, perfect for Christmas presents, so pop along to the shop this Saturday if you’d like to have a look. Naomi will also have a stall at Stockbridge market every Sunday until Christmas, if you are interested.

Edinburgh Patchwork will be closed over Christmas from 22nd December until 1st January, inclusive. We will open on the 2nd January with a huge and exciting sale which will last for the week. There will be up to 40% off on selected ranges – last year’s sale was such fun with loads of great bargains.

I will be sending the new classes list out before we close for Christmas.
Happy Sewing Everyone!
Check out Jayne’s stunning Star quilt, made from Moda’s ‘Fire and Ice’ batik jelly roll. They’re so beautiful that we got a few more in (one for me I think)!
We had a fun party for our first birthday and the shop looked really colourful. Next event is the quilt championships at Ingliston. If you are going, pop over to our stall and say hello.
It was celebration time at Edinburgh Patchwork this Thursday as we had Grace’s Hen Party Quilt Frolic! The work room was bursting with Grace’s hens (a lovely bunch of ladies) and they all worked hard, sewing rotary cutting and pinning, as a team to create Grace’s hen quilt. It was super fun and we wish the very best to Grace and Kenny.
Grace and the hens!
Check out the classes and workshops page for the new list of classes with lots of photos of the projects. A few projects do not yet have photos but these will be added asap.
We’re starting an English paper piecing club in September and since we’ve already had loads of interest, get in touch soon to book a place. If there are too many people for one group, I’ll form another.
We’re going to have an exhibition of work made by people throughout this year, so come along and bring your work. This will take place on Saturday 29th August 1 pm – 4 pm. Thank you to everyone who has come into the shop to show me their quilts, either a photo or the actual quilt, and I can tell you there have been many stunning quilts made this year – well done everyone.
So, here’s wee taster of some of the projects coming up! Happy summer holidays!
