Well, classes are well under way here at Edinburgh Patchwork. We’ve been having loads of fun and making lots of lovely quilted things.
Classes kicked off with Gillian Harrison’s quilt-as-you-go maxi bag (I wish I’d made one now)! Katie’s bag, pictured here is fabulous!
Gillian’s other class, a three week series, tackled an ‘Around the World’ quilt which involved an interesting technique for piecing and an unusual binding method.
Fiona’s ‘Around the World’ quilt was a stunner!
We had a full house with Pat Stone’s extremely popular and skills-packed ‘Quilting for All’ class with students progressing to free motion quilting and producing impressive finished appliquéd & quilted blocks.
Susan Briscoe’s Japanese circles and squares class was hugely inspirational. We turned the workroom into a small exhibition of Susan’s beautiful quilts and got to work. The workshop was great fun and we learned lots of expert tips from Susan. Dorothy’s choice of fabric evolved into a delightful quilt!
We’ve got lots of exciting classes still to come and I will be sending out a list of the next block of classes soon. Can’t wait!
